Hope's Fund
Hope was a very special little girl who was recently rescued by Crested Guardians. She was an extremely sick little girl. She was a stray and was brought into a shelter. Our volunteers took her immediately to an emergency vet to try to get her stabilized so we could begin to make her feel better and enjoy the life she so deserved. However, after only being in Crested Guardians' care for a short while, she took a turn for the worse. After a full medical evaluation & treatment, the recommendation was to let her go. Her little body just could not fight all that was stacked against her. Even a few minutes out of oxygen caused much distress. One of our loving volunteers went to Hope and brought her some home cooked food so she could at least taste the food she deserved to have. And she brought her a new pink shirt so she could have the nice girly clothes a hairless princess deserves. She was held closely and spoken to lovingly, hearing all the kind words she should have been hearing her whole life. She also heard "I'm Sorry." Sorry she didn't get to be with our group longer. Sorry that the last days of her life were so bad. She passed in the loving arms of of a CG member on 9/17/2009. Hopefully, feeling the love she so deserved. Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and support for her recovery.
Hope touched a lot of hearts in the short while we knew her.

Sometimes I do think I am dreaming when I chill on my little red bed, but thenone of my foster brothers comes and plunks down beside me and I realizeI am here!Safe in my foster mom’s home, you see no one is really sure where I came from originally. I was in a shelter but then I got what I thought was my forever home but then they sent me back but I didn't understand why. Now thanks to CG I am safe and we are working on my medical problems. My heart murmur has been checked out and cleared by a doctor, but I am still under care for my Cancer.I try not to think about it too much.I am a big foodie and I love playing with my foster family. I love meeting other dogs out and about.Of course I also enjoy watching TV-what Crestie doesn’t!Ireally like the Food Newtwork, but everyone else loves Law &Order-that is ok too. I am still nervous around people, but I amworking really hard. I am also a fashion hound-hehe. I hope someday tofind a forever home with foster siblings to have adventures with. But right now my medical bills are very costly and I would love to get some sponsors to help me!Love, Leo
