Crested Guardians is a not for profit, 501(c)3 Foundation
that is a group of volunteers devoted to protecting
and helping the Chinese Crested dog in need.

Crested Guardians is always looking for new members to help us help Chinese cresteds in need. We can always use more foster parents! But that's not all. If you cannot foster there are so many other things you can do like transportation, fundraising, spreading the word about dogs in need, and many other things. If you are interested in being a part of Crested Guardians please fill out the application below!

Please understand that there is a screening process where volunteers will screen your application. We do our best to screen in a timely manner and appreciate your patience. Once the application is screened and looks favorable, a home visit will be set up. This may take some time to complete depending upon the location of the applicant and proximity to and availability of a qualified volunteer to complete the visit. Not all applicants are approved to adopt and we have strict guidelines that we follow when we place one of our dogs. Please understand that if your application is not approved, it is not implying that you are not a good pet owner, it implies that the criteria we are looking for is not being met. We will not inform any applicant of the reason why their application is denied. We do expect all pets in the household have been kept up to date on their vaccinations and that we receive positive feedback from your references. We cannot approve an application for those pet owners who self administer vaccinations, because we cannot verify that they have been done. We require all dogs and cats in the household be altered unless there is a documented medical reason stating why it cannot be done.
